IGA special year in Geometry and its Applications, in 2010

There will be several exciting new IGA events in 2010!

IGA Lecture series
A novel feature in 2010 is that there will be 6 or more distinguished IGA Lecturers spread throughout the year, who will give lecture series on current topics of intense international interest in Geometry and its Applications. One confirmed IGA Lecturer is Dr Mohammed Abouzaid (Clay Research Fellow, MIT), who will give a lecture series on, Mirror Symmetry and the Fukaya Category.

IGA workshops
The IGA expects to hold at least 2 or 3 international workshops in 2010, possibly centered around the IGA Lecturers.

IGA mini winter school
The IGA expects to host a winter school in 2010, where a series of expository lectures will be organized, for students in both pure mathematics and mathematical physics, at the level of honours/beginning postgraduate students.

More details to come later!!
