IGA special year in Geometry and its Applications, in 2010

There were several exciting new IGA events in 2010!

IGA Lecture series
A novel feature in 2010 is that there were 3 distinguished
IGA Lecturers spread throughout the year, who gave lecture series on current topics of intense international interest in Geometry and its Applications. They were:-

Professor Frank Kutzschebauch (University of Berne, Switzerland)
Group Actions in Complex Analytic Geometry
January 2010.

Dr Mohammed Abouzaid (Clay Research Fellow, MIT),
Introduction to Mirror Symmetry and the Fukaya Category
14-22 July 2010.

Professor Daniel Freed (University of Texas at Austin)
Dirac Operators in Geometry, Topology, Representation Theory, and Physics
18-22 October, 2010.

IGA workshops
The IGA held the international IGA/AMSI funded workshop Dirac Operators in Geometry, Topology, Representation Theory, and Physics, with principal speaker Dan Freed (IGA Lecturer, U. Texas at Austin), held at U. Adelaide, Conference Room 7.15, Level 7, Innova 21 building, 18-22 October 2010. The AMSI webpage for the workshop is here.
