For oversea speakers and participants, please check if you need an entry visa to Australia. If so, please make sure to apply for your visa well (at least 1 month) before the date of visit. Contact one of the local organisers if you need an official invitation letter for this purpose.

Local Transportation, parking and other services on campus


The most convenient way from airport to your hotel or the University is to take a taxi. It will cost about $25 from airport to the city centre.

For female participants with child care responsibility, please check our child care provider on the campus of Adelaide.

Restaurants and Groceries


The University of Adelaide, located in the city centre, is close to several food courts in Rundle mall and many cafes and restaurants, for example, along Rundle street. Fresh groceries can be found in Woolworth and Coles in Rundle Mall or at the Central Market.

Internet Access


The University of Adelaide provides wireless access for visitors whose home institutions have eduroam. For more information on how to set up eduroam, please click here. If you require an IT access to the University of Adelaide network, please contact one of the local organisers to fill out a visitor form, 7 days before your arrival.

Travel Funding


This event is co-sponsored by the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (
AMSI). AMSI allocates a travel allowance to each of its member universities (for a list of members, click here).

Students or Early Career Researchers from AMSI member universities without access to a suitable research grant or other source of funding may apply to their Head of Mathematical Sciences for subsidy of travel and accommodation out of the departmental travel allowance. For more information, click
